2011 Summer Band Concert Series

It’s time for Provo’s best summer tradition! The 2011 Summer Band Concert Series brings together great music, pleasant summer evenings, family and friends. Free concerts will be held every Sunday in June at 7:00 p.m. in Provo's North Park (500 North 500 West). The Summer Band Concert Series has been a Provo tradition for 41 years and features the Utah Premiere Brass, the state’s landmark British brass band.

The brilliant blend of the Utah Premiere Brass combines traditional brass instruments featuring remarkable ranges of whisper-soft passages to mighty fortissimos and lightning-fast phrases to beautiful melodies. You'll love Premiere Brass' engaging blend of musicianship and humor!

Under the direction of Dr. Kirt Saville, the Utah Premiere Brass consists of thirty professional musicians from around the state. Performances showcase a breadth of musical styles, including original symphonies, light classical, jazz and Broadway music.

Pack a picnic basket, bring your lawn chairs and join your neighbors for this delightful concert series.

The 2011 Summer Band Concert Series is sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, Summerhays Music, the Covey Center for the Arts, the Provo Arts Council and generous gifts from individual citizens.
